Transfer A Video Back Onto A Flip

The Flip Video family, consisting of the UltraHD, MinoHD and SlideHD, was created by the Cisco company as portable video recorders that make transferring video easy and user-friendly. Although the device may be small, the 720p HD quality and hours of storage rivals any consumer video recorder on the market. With its built-in USB drive that "flips" out, you can transfer the video to a computer and back onto the Flip with ease.

Instructions

PC - Windows

1. Connect your Flip video device to your laptop or PC's USB port using the USB output on the side of the Flip.

2. Turn on your Flip and wait for your computer to recognize the external device.

3. Click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop or click on the "Start" button in the bottom-left corner of your screen and select "My Computer" from the menu.

4. Find and double-click on the drive folder titled "DCIM." Once you open the folder, you should see all the video files you recorded on your Flip.

5. Find the video on your computer that you would like to transfer back onto the Flip.

6. Place the folders side-by-side. Click on the video file you would like to transfer and drag it over to the Flip folder. Depending on how large your video file is, it may take several seconds or minutes to copy over.
