Make The Screen Light Flash When The Phone Rings

Some phones offer a rhythmic backlight option that flashes when the phone rings.

The light on the screen of a cell phone is called a backlight, and on many makes and models, you can set the light to come on when the phone rings, but it will not flash. Nokia, however, introduced a feature to the market call the Rhythmic Backlight, that you can manipulate to flash in a number of ways when the phone rings, or even when you receive a text message. The capability, however, is proprietary to Nokia phones, and if you own another make and model, you cannot set the backlight to flash.

Instructions

1. Select the "Menu" option on your phone and select "Settings."

2. Scroll to "Display Settings" and press the "Select" button, then go to "Rhythmic Backlight."

3. Scroll down and select the option you prefer. Those four options are on, off, Rhythm, or Vibra. The rhythm option will flash to the rhythm of your ring tone, while the vibra option will flash every time the phone vibrates.
