Nokia unlock codes must be purchased separately from the phone.
Nokia was one of the first brands to manufacture cell phones. Many different models of Nokia phones have been produced over the years. Nokia phones are not only available through major wireless retailers with a cell phone service contract, they are also available with some prepaid cell phone services such as Tracfone. To use your Nokia 1110i with other network providers, an unlock code must be purchased through an authorized retailer.
Instructions
1. Remove the battery from your Nokia 1110i. Behind the battery there should be a sticker with the phone's serial number (IMEI). Write down this number for reference.
2. Use the Internet to purchase the unlock code for your Nokia 1110i. Visit the Unlock It site (see Resources) to purchase the unlock code.
3. Enter the phone's IMEI or serial number to obtain the correct unlock code. An unlock code will enable you to use your Nokia phone with other wireless providers without incurring roaming and other extra charges. Each unlock code is specific to the model and IMEI number on each phone.
4. Replace the battery in the phone and turn it on. Enter the unlock code into the keypad of your phone to unlock it.
