2. Password protect your cell phone. It may take longer to access your cell phone, but it's worth it. Password protection is just using common sense. 3. Look for the signs that something is running unauthorized on your cell phone. Does your phone turn on unexpectedly? Is your phone running slow, or is the phone and battery abnormally hot to the touch? Are you getting strange interference on your phone? Detecting cell phone spyware is not easy, but if you suspect spyware on your phone, you have a couple of options to remove it. The first option is to try to go into the phone and reset it to the manufacturers' original settings. The second option is to take the phone to the cell phone provider and ask to have it reflashed.
