Full Flash A Motorola Qa4 To Cricket

Don't throw your favorite cellphone away -- flash it to the Cricket network instead of buying a new one.

Although Cricket doesn't promise all cellphones flashed to its network will work at full functionality, the Motorola Evoke QA4 was designed to work with Cricket and Alltel. If you aren't currently using the Cricket network, you can reprogram, or flash, your Evoke to work with Cricket in just a few minutes. The programming change should allow you full access to the phone's capabilities, including voice, text and Web services, if you purchase all those services as part of your wireless plan.

Instructions

1. Remove the back cover of your Motorola QA4 and remove the battery. Write down the phone's identification information found in the battery compartment. Reassemble the phone and turn it on.

2. Download Cricket flashing software onto your computer from an online flashing software retailer such as Remote Squad, CDMA Flashing Software or Your Cellular. The cost for the software varies, but plan to spend at least $25.

3. Connect your USB cable to your phone, then to your computer. Open and run the flashing software, following its step-by-step instructions. These instructions may be on your screen, or they may be located in a separate "read-me" file. Turn off the phone once the flashing process is complete.

4. Reboot the phone. Make a test call to make sure the Cricket network is working properly on your Motorola QA4.
