Verizon's home telephone service is FiOS Digital Voice. Subscribers to FiOS have the option to order features such as call waiting and voice mail. When you order voice mail, you must activate the feature yourself from the home telephone number assigned to your account when you ordered the voice mail service. When setting up your FiOS voice mail, you will have the option to create a personalized greeting and select your own voice mail pass code.
Instructions
1. Dial the FiOS voice mail access number: 1-888-234-6786 from your FiOS home telephone number.
2. Enter the last four digits of your FiOS telephone number followed by the "#" sign when prompted. The last four digits of your telephone number are your default pass code.
3. Choose the option to select a personalized greeting when prompted. Then record your greeting. If you are not satisfied with your greeting, select the option to delete the greeting and re-record it.
4. Follow any additional prompts such as selecting a personal voice mail pass code.
