Package A Microsoft Vpn Connection For Users

You can create a VPN connection from your PC computer.

The VPN protocol, which stands for virtual private network, is popular in many business settings because it allows for secured access to a company's internal network. With the Windows 7 operating systems, administrators can create their own Microsoft VPN configurations and use them as a package to distribute to other users. In order to set up a VPN connection, you must know the exact address of your company or organization's server.

Instructions

1. Log in to your PC computer with an administrator account.

2. Open the Start menu and click on "Control Panel."

3. Click on the "Network and Sharing Center" icon.

4. Select the "Set up a new connection or network" option under the "Change your networking settings" header.

5. Click on "Connect to a workplace" and then choose the "Use my Internet connection (VPN)" option.

6. Enter the address of your company or organization's server in the top text field and then choose a name for the new VPN connection.

7. Check the box next to "Allow other people to use this connection." This setting will tell Windows to package the VPN configuration and make it available to other local users.

8. Press "Next" and "Close" to complete the Microsoft VPN configuration.
