Troubleshoot A Jabra Extreme

The Jabra Extreme is a Bluetooth headset. Designed to be used everywhere all day, the Extreme features a comfortable design with what the manufacturer describes as Ultimate-fit Eargels and a dual microphone that blocks out background noise. The headset also features multiuse technology, allowing you to use with up to two devices simultaneously. Troubleshoot the headset to solve any problems you may be having.

Instructions

1. Keep the headset within 33 feet of the device it is paired with. The further they are away from each other, the worse the audio quality may be. Also avoid obstacles in between the two devices such as walls and other solid objects.

2. Consult the owner's manual for the device you are using it with for feature compatibility. Some features such as reject call, call hold, redial and voice dialing may not be compatible with all phones.

3. Reset the headset. Press and hold the call/end button and both volume buttons until the red, blue and green lights light up. The headset will be reset and play a sound through the speakers to ensure it is functional. Pairing lists will be reset and you will need to re-pair your phone.

4. Re-pair your phone with the headset. If the headset is working and not responding to your phone, then the pairing profile may have been deleted. Press and hold the call/end button for about five seconds to place it into pairing mode. The phone will already be in pairing mode when turned on if it has been reset or has never been paired. Enter the Bluetooth menu on your phone and search for devices. Select "Jabra Extreme" and enter "0000" as the passkey.
