Set Up The Nokia N95 Without A Sim Card

Without a SIM card inserted, phone calls cannot be made or received.

The N95 is a unique phone created by Nokia. It slides open in two directions--sliding the screen vertically reveals an alphanumeric keypad, while sliding the screen horizontally reveals a set of multimedia keys. The Nokia N95 is one of the few mobile phones which can operate without a SIM card installed. Though many of the features will be inactive, you will still be able to adjust the settings on the device.

Instructions

1. Push the battery cover release button and lift the battery cover away from the phone. Remove the battery, open the SIM card holder and slide the SIM card out.

2. Close the SIM card holder, reinsert the battery and replace the battery cover.

3. Hold down the power button to switch on your phone. Wait for the phone to acknowledge that the SIM has been removed and it will switch to "Offline Mode" automatically.

4. Press the menu button and open "Settings." In here, you can access all the basic phone settings such as time, date, ringtone, etc.
