Kodak provides customers with free downloads of firmware, drivers and software updates for Kodak products, including Kodak EasyShare digital cameras, through its Software, Driver and Firmware Downloads for Consumer Products webpage. Each update serves a specific purpose such as repairing known bugs or errors that have caused camera malfunction, improving communication between your camera and computer's operating system, or providing new Kodak EasyShare software features for creating, organizing and sharing your digital photos.
Instructions
Firmware and Drivers
1. Follow the "KODAK Software, Driver and Firmware Downloads for Consumer Products" link in the Resources section.
2. Select "Digital Cameras" from the "Choose a Type of Product" drop-down menu under "Start here." Select your series of digital camera from the "Choose a Type of Digital Camera" drop-down menu. Select your model from the "Select a Product" drop-down menu and click the "Go" button.
3. Highlight and click on your computer's operating system on the "Operating System:" drop-down menu on the next page.
4. Click the "Download" button beside the first download. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the download and update the firmware, driver or other software.
5. Repeat the download and updating process with any additional available downloads.
EasyShare Software
6. Go to the "KODAK Software, Driver and Firmware Downloads for Consumer Products" webpage.
7. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the blue "Download for free" link in the "Kodak EasyShare Software" section.
8. Select your operating system from the drop-down menu.
9. Click the "Download" button and follow the on-screen instructions.
