Aircel India offers GPRS/EDGE services, which you can use to access the Internet over any WAP-enabled handset (one that has an Internet browser). Aircel's GPRS, named Pocket Internet, is activated on all phones running an Aircel connection by default. However, you do need to enter the appropriate GPRS settings into the phone to get it working. As of 2010, Aircel charges 10p/10 kb for Internet browsing.
Instructions
Method 1
1. Go to "Menu" > "Messaging" > "SMS"/"Text Message."
2. Type "PI."
3. Send the message to "121." On your sending of the SMS (text message), Aircel will send automatic GPRS settings to the phone. When you receive the settings, open the SMS and the GPRS settings will be activated.
Method 2
4. Navigate to "Menu" > "Messaging" > "SMS"/"Text Message."
5. Type "WEBPR " (if you are a prepaid customer) or "WEBPO " (if you are a postpaid customer).
6. Send the SMS to "582346." When you receive the SMS from Aircel, open it and the settings will be activated automatically.
