Instructions

1. Connect to the Internet on your BlackBerry through Wi-Fi or on your phone. Go to the iSkoot website and click on "Download now." This will take you to the registration page. You'll need to put in the make and model of your phone and relevant information, such as your phone number, Skype name and country. You'll then be given a choice to download iSkoot to your computer or to your phone via e-mail or SMS text. If you download it onto your computer, you'll need to install it on your BlackBerry using Bluetooth, infrared or a data cable.

You'll be charged air time and data charges for making Skype calls or for instant messaging. If you use Skype to call regular phones rather than a Skype Buddy, you'll also need SkypeOut minutes.

3. Download WebMessenger at the WebMessenger site. You'll have to register, giving your name, email address, phone number and make of the phone. You'll also need to download the WebMessenger Mobile for Skype desktop plug-in on the same machine that you're using for Skype. The big advantage of WebMessenger is that it allows you to work with AOL, Google, Yahoo and MSN Messenger as well as Skype. You'll be charged for data time and will need SkypeOut credit if you intend to call non-Skype phones.

4. Download Skype to your BlackBerry. Go to the Skype website and click on "Go Mobile" to begin the process.
