Transfer Minutes From Two Cell Phone Servers

With prepaid wireless service, you can transfer minutes between two cell phone servers. If you upgraded your phone, you should not miss out on the minutes you have on your old phone. Instead, contact customer service to assist with the transfer. You will need both phones available so you can provide the appropriate information to the customer service representative.

Instructions

1. Contact your prepaid wireless plan. The number is on the company's website or on the back of your prepaid card.

2. Tell the representative you would like to transfer minutes from one cell phone server to another. Provide the IMEI and serial number of both phones. These numbers help the representative identify your phones and transfer the minutes. The representative can help you locate these numbers if you do not have them.

3. Turn on your new cell phone, when instructed. The representative will inform you when the transfer is complete. You may receive a text message stating how many minutes your phone received.
