The Sanyo Incognito cellular phone has a top panel that lifts up to reveal an internal screen and a horizontal keypad. This phone only operates with the service carrier programmed on the SIM card in the phone. There are ways to unlock the phone so that it can use a SIM card from a different carrier, but getting the unlock code costs money.
Instructions
1. Open your Internet browser and locate a site that offers unlock codes for cellular phones. These sites all charge for their codes, but there are many options.
2. Enter "Sanyo" and "Incognito" into the text fields prompting you for the make and model of the cellular phone.
3. Enter your email and payment information in the appropriate fields when prompted.
4. Confirm the purchase of the code when prompted. A message appears informing you that the code has been sent to you.
5. Open your email account to retrieve the code.
6. Turn on your Sanyo Incognito and enter the code in the number field as if your were dialing out.
7. Press "Send," and the phone will process the code, then unlock. Now replace the SIM card, located in the battery compartment, with one from a different carrier.
