Smartphone gaming has taken off in popularity, with the latest mobile devices taking away much of the luster of handheld gaming devices like the PSP or the Nintendo DS. Reuters in February 2009 reported that smartphone gaming increased by 60 percent, and the numbers continue to rise. Manufactures are responding to this demand by offering phones with gamers in mind.
