Remove The Cover Of A Razr

The Motorola Razr is perhaps one of the most popular phones ever made. Its thin, sleek design was like no other phone at the time it came out. The huge popularity of this phone made a demand for more personalized options, such as different colors for the cover. There are now thousands of options for covers for Razrs. Most cell phone stores will charge money for changing a cover, so your best option is to do it yourself.

Instructions

1. Open the Razr and locate the four circular rubber screw covers around each corner of the screen. Position the corner of a razor blade between the edge of a screw cover and the face of the phone. Pry up to remove the cover. Repeat this with the remaining three screw covers. The two screw covers on the top are slightly larger than the bottom two, so keep track of which ones go where.

2. Remove all four screws with a T5 screwdriver. Do not attempt to use any other type of screwdrivers as you may strip the screws, making them impossible to remove.

3. Wedge the corner of the razor blade between the cover and the actual body of the phone. Start at the top of the phone directly beside the lens for the camera. Pry the two pieces apart with firm but gentle pressure. There are two clips by the lens that must come unhooked.

4. Move down to the sides of the phone. There is one clip on each side of the phone, halfway between the top and bottom. Pry the cover away from the body as you did with the first two clips. The cover should come almost completely away from the body at this point.

5. Grab the cover on its sides and pull it away from the body. There are two more clips located at the bottom that will unhook with minimal pressure.

6. Reverse the steps when you put the cover back on.
