Setup Voicemail
on a Samsung Instinct
The Samsung Instinct (SPH-M800) is a touchscreen phone available to Sprint-Nextel customers. If you've just acquired your Instinct, one of the first things you'll need to do is setup your voicemail. Before you setup your voicemail, callers will not be able to leave you a voicemail message. Sprint recommends activating and setting up your voicemail as soon as possible.
Adding a custom greeting and a name announcement is not required with Sprint voicemail; however, it can add a personal touch to your voicemail system.
Instructions
1. Press the "Home" button on your Instinct. Then press the "Menu" button.
2. Browse to and select "Voicemail." Wait for the Instinct to dial in to your voicemail setup.
3. Choose a voicemail passcode when prompted (four-digits). You'll use this passcode to access your voicemail messages.
4. Record your name announcement, if desired. A name announcement is used in place of your telephone number when leaving messages on other Sprint voicemails.
5. Record your voicemail message. You do not have to record a personalized message; you can use a system greeting. Follow the prompts to complete the activation; press the "End" button to finish.
