Use Your Cell Phone As A Webcam

Use Your Cell Phone As a Webcam

Effective webcam usage opens up a world of communication possibilities. However, your computer may not have a webcam built in. You may not need to purchase a webcam if such is the case. Your cell phone's video camera can serve as a wireless webcam in a pinch. You may even prefer to use the cell phone as your primary webcam if it captures video particularly well.

Instructions

1. Visit the Wwigo mobile wireless webcam website to download and install the application to your computer and cell phone. Use the free trial version of Wwigo's mobile wireless webcam software to evaluate its functionality if you do not wish to purchase the full version outright before trying it.

2. Turn on your cell phone and enable either a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection.

3. Launch Wwigo software on both your computer and cell phone.

4. Choose your cell phone as a recognized networked device on your computer.

5. Open the "Connect" tab on your cell phone's Wwigo panel. Select Bluetooth or Wi-Fi to determine your desired connectivity.

6. Select your PC in the pop-up devices menu. Position your cell phone's camera to capture video to stream over the web.
