Use Skype On Nexus One

Skype allows calls to phones as well as other computer and smartphone application users.

If you were to point out the metal-toothed fastener on someone's jacket they would shoot you a puzzled look. Even though it's a specific brand name, the device in question is known as a Zipper. Similarly, if you were to suggest a voice over internet protocol conversation with a friend she might not get it, but if you ask her to Skype with you she'll catch right on. Skype is the popular service that connects people through data connections providing text chatting, voice calls and video conferencing on computer applications. With the release of mobile applications for smartphones like the Nexus One, Skype can now go with you.

Instructions

1. Open the application launcher on your Nexus One then press the "Market" icon. Tap the magnifying glass icon then type "Skype" and press "Enter." Tap the "Skype" listing then press "Install." Wait for the app to download and install on your phone.

2. Tap the "Skype" icon from the application launcher. Enter your Skype username and password. Click through the tour and then select whether Skype will sync all of your contacts or only contacts that are also in your phone.
