Remove Commwarrior From A Mobile Phone

Get it off as fast as you can

Commwarrior is the first virus to be targeted at all cell phones. It arrives via multimedia messaging service, or MMS, that urges you to download a "Happy Birthday" message that then installs the virus on your mobile phone. You can remove Commwarrior from a mobile phone to avoid a potential virus.

Instructions

1. Navigate to the "Tools" section of your cell phone menu. Scroll down and select "File Manager." If you do not have a File Manager program installed on your phone, contact your carrier and follow its instructions on download and install it.

2. Open "Options" in your File Manager and make sure "View System Files" is enabled, if it is, return to the File Manager. If it is not enabled, select the option to turn it on and save. You will be automatically returned to the File Manager.

3. Scroll down until you find the following directory, c:system\apps\commwarrior. Select that directory to open it.

4. Select and delete the following two files: commwarrior.exe and commrec.mdl. When you are done, go back to the main screen of the File Manager.

5. Scroll down until you find the following directory, c:system\updates. Select that directory to open it.

6. Select and delete the following three files: commw.sis, commwarrior.exe and commrec.mdl. The virus has now been removed.
