Connect Hd Homerun To Ethernet

The HD HomeRun device enables you to watch TV on your computer at home, if you already have a TV antenna or cable connection in your house. The HD HomeRun connects TV tuners to your home router, which any computer can access. Silicon Dust unveiled the product when the company formed in 2007.

Instructions

1. Install the HD HomeRun software onto your computer. Insert the software CD that came with the device into the CD-ROM drive of your computer. You can also download and install the software from the "Downloads" section of the Silicon Dust website.

2. Connect your cable cord to the tuner jack that is located on the back of the device.

3. Connect the HD HomeRun Ethernet cable to your network router. Connect one end of the cable to the "Ethernet" port located on the back of the HomeRun. Connect the other end to the "Ethernet" port on your router. If you do not have a router, connect the second end of the cable to the "Ethernet" port of your computer.

4. Connect the power cord to the AC Adapter port on the back of the HomeRun device. Plug the power cord into a nearby electrical outlet.

5. Turn on your computer, router and HomeRun device.

6. Open the HD HomeRun software on your computer. You will then see a configuration screen.

7. Customize your device settings in the configuration window. Under the "Location" tab, enter your location. Under the "Applications" tab, select "HD HomeRun QuickTV." Under the "Tuners" tab, select whether or not you are using a digital antenna or digital cable.

8. Click the "Channels" tab to scan for channels. Click "OK" and "Finish" to save your settings and exit the configuration window.
